Islam. For those who have taken the time to read about islam it is interesting to realise the enormous similarities between the religion and christianity. Whilst it is not feasible to summarise the few differences in these short spaces, after reading all types of literature associated with islam, it takes a little thoughtful contemplation to realise that it is not such a distant concept.

For Europeans, Americans, African, Asians...it may come as a suprise that islam has a very familiar tone, which if objectively assessed leads one to understand the true value that the religion espouses.

What with the enormous amount of publicity generated by worldwide media, it is often difficult to capture a clear understanding of Islam. More often than not it is a combination of violence, terror, fanaticism, and oppression that are laid out as the bedrock of this ideology.

However that could not be further than the truth, and for those who have read the Koran and other associated materials will come to no other understanding than that of a peaceful, universal religion that calls on people of all walks of life to a comprehensive set of values that promote understanding and cooperation.
